          WE'RE ANNOUNCING A MAJOR BUS GRANT TO HELP JEFFERSON PARISH TRANSIT BY NEW LOW EMISSION, UH, HYBRID BUSES TO REPLACE MANY OF YOUR AGING DIESEL BUSES. 
          SO TODAY WE'RE BRINGING ALMOST $5.5 MILLION TO JEFFERSON TRANSIT TO HELP JPT, UH, MODERNIZE ITS BUS SERVICE AND IMPROVE TRANSIT ACCESS, EQUITY AND ACCESSIBILITY FOR ALL RIDERS. 
          ALL OF THESE VEHICLES ARE BEING MADE RIGHT HERE IN THE UNITED STATES, TRANSLATING TO GOOD PAYING AMERICAN JOBS. 
          THIS PROJECT, WHICH WE ARE CELEBRATING HERE TODAY, WILL PROVIDE MANY BENEFITS THAT WILL HELP JEFFERSON PARISH TRANSIT, UM, BETTER SERVE RIDERS BY MODERNIZING ITS BUSES, IMPROVING AIR QUALITY AND REDUCING ITS CARBON FOOTPRINT.
