THE SENIOR CENTERS PROVIDE A PLACE FOR SENIOR CITIZENS TO COME, GET OUT THE HOUSE, MAKE FRIENDS, SOCIALIZE, AND STILL BE ACTIVE.
I ENJOY THE FELLOWSHIP HERE, THE ACQUAINTANCE THAT I'VE MADE, THE ACTIVITIES THAT WE ARE IN B FOUR B FOUR, SINCE I'VE BEEN RETIRED FOR THE LONGEST, GETTING INTO ACTIVITY THAT OTHER TOWERS, UH, IS ALWAYS PLEASANT TO HAVE.
IT GETS US OUT OF THE HOME AND, AND THE ISOLATION OF THE HOME.
WE HAVE A LOT OF PEOPLE HERE WE CAN INTERACT WITH.
EVERYTHING HERE IS, IS ENJOYABLE.
EVERYBODY'S WELCOMING AND FRIENDLY AND IT'S JUST A PLEASURE TO BE HERE.
I'D BE SITTING HOME WATCHING TV, YOU KNOW,
I HAVE A WONDERFUL TIME COMING HERE, DOING MYSELF.
IT MADE MY LIFE FEEL GOOD AND BEING WITH PEOPLE.
WHAT KEEPS YOU BUSY? TO ME, IT MAKES ME FEEL HAPPY TO BE ABLE TO DO SOMETHING AND KEEP MY MIND GOING ON THINGS.
I MADE A LOT OF FRIENDS AND I VOLUNTEER TO HELP AND SERVE WHEN THEY HAVE PARTIES.
I PLAY THE BINGO, WHATEVER GAMES I CAN.
I'VE BEEN COMING HERE ABOUT ALMOST 20 YEARS.
IT'S SO SPECIAL BECAUSE IF YOU'RE HOME, YOU'RE GONNA BE LOOKING AT TV ALL DAY AND WELL THEN YOU MIGHT FEEL SAD OR DEPRESSED.
IT HELPS YOU TO FEEL BETTER ABOUT YOURSELF AND TO MAKE FRIENDS WITH THE PEOPLE THAT COME HERE, IT'S JUST TO KEEP THEM SOCIALIZING AND NOT SECLUDED.
THEY THINK AS THEY GET OLDER, THEY DON'T HAVE A LIFE ANYMORE.
THERE'S NOTHING INTERESTING FOR THEM TO DO, AND THAT'S REALLY NOT THE CASE.
THAT'S THE BIGGEST THING, IS TO STAY ACTIVE AND NOT SIT AT HOME WATCHING TV ALL DAY AND BE ALONE.
COME AND BE WITH OTHER PEOPLE, THEIR PEERS, AND MAKE FRIENDS.
